why my Whole30 ended on day 19

well. my whole30 ended early. and i dont feel bad about it.

my main reason to doing the whole30 was to lose weight. oh and to leave the cookies alone. but as i did last time, i was getting tired of all the cooking, the boring food, and my bosses told me i was getting grumpy. sure, i only had 10 days left, but i just felt angry and sad everyday instead of feeling awesome like the program should make you feel. so, i decided to relieve myself of all of that stress and transition to a diet i could deal with. my plan is to eat whole30 style during the week and have a cheat meal on the weekend. and still avoid all sweets.

im happy to say that i havent touched sweets since may 31. i was even at a birthday party and didnt touch a piece of cake or cupcake. though i think i want it, i dont really. even with my cheat meal there wasnt any "mmmm this is so good" (except maybe the fries) probably cuz i knew its not what i should be eating.

overall i have lost 7 pounds. i havent measured inches, but my clothes are starting to fit better. im feeling better about myself too. i can feel my confidence getting better (if you follow me on instagram you might have seen)

lets see how life after a partial whole30 is...

Whole 30 Round 2: Week 1 Update

...im doing another whole30?

man, i sure did forget about this little blog for a little while. if youve followed me on facebook or instagram you know what ive been up to. but im back with a few updates, and what ive been eating.

the last month has been wishy-washy. i had good weeks, bad weeks, not much workout out. i fell off the plan. but no fear. i have a new plan. (go figure right?) we didnt go on vacation as planned. it is now moved to july. but i still took time off. and did pretty ok with my eating. and then... all hell broke loose. i ate half a package of oreos, and a full package of m&m cookies. whoops! i blame it being my female time (TMI?) anywho. no bueno. i hate when i binge like that. so i did what i would always do to try to restart my relationship with food (but seemed to fail on day 2 everytime!) i started another whole30. on june 1st. and my parents are doing it with me. the hubs isnt, but he is just eating what i have to eat pretty much.

ive made it to day 8, so i have high hopes! im still having strong cravings, but its getting a bit easier to throw a meal together i can eat. and all the fruit is so yummy right now!

so here is what i ate in my first week:

breakfast: scrambled eggs, chicken & apple sausage, and cantaloupe
lunch: tuna, egg, and cucumber in a lettuce leaf
